Between Objects, People & History
I invited Scarborough Museum staff, volunteers, and some visitors to select an artifact from the museum's collection and explain its personal significance through a series of questions and answers. I photographed each object and included it in this artist's book, along with the questions posed and participants' responses.
The cover of the book features the architectural elevation map of the Cornell House, one of the museum's historic homes. The house itself is considered an artifact and was chosen by some participants as their favourite object in the collection. The selected spreads highlight a couple of items, along with the related questions and responses.
